Telehealth Startup Tyto Care Raises $50 Million

Tyto Care develops a digital device for remote medical testing and diagnosis that allows for accurate long-distance interaction between doctor and patient

Israel-based digital stethoscope startup Tyto Care Ltd. has raised $50 million, the company announced Wednesday. The round was jointly led by Olive Tree Ventures, Insight Partners, and Qualcomm Ventures LLC.

 

Founded in 2012 and based in Israeli central town Netanya, Tyto Care develops a digital device for remote medical testing and diagnosis that allows for accurate long-distance interaction between doctor and patient. The company states it works with hundreds of hospitals in North America and Europe, and is partnered with Clalit, one of Israel's four health maintenance organizations. More than 200,000 medical tests were conducted using Tyto Care’s device in 2019 alone, according to company statements.

Tyto Care currently employs a team of 72 people, 53 of whom are based in Israel. The company has raised $105 million to date.
