Data Analytics Startup SQream Makes Three Exec Appointments

In Late May, Alibaba led a $26.4 Million investment round in Tel Aviv-based SQream

Three weeks after it received a $26.4 million investment from Chinese multinational Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. and other inventors, data analytics startup SQream Technologies announced Wednesday three executive appointments.

SQream appointed David Leichner to the role of chief marketing officer. Mr. Leichner has held marketing and sales executive positions at companies including Cynet, Gilat Satellite Networks, and Gartner. Ayelet Heyman was appointed SQream’s VP of product. She is a former VP of research at Israeli cybersecurity company ThetaRay. The company also appointed Joel Sehr to the role of VP of sales, Americas.

 

SQream develops a graphics processing units (GPU) based database management system that offers corporations an economical way to analyze large datasets. In February, Alibaba's cloud computing arm announced a partnership with SQream to market the database to its Chinese cloud customers. Founded in 2010, the company is headquartered in New York and operates a research and development center in Tel Aviv.
