Israeli venture capital firm Israel Growth Partners (IGP) Ltd. announced on Sunday the appointment of venture capitalist Ziv Kop to a general partner. Kop is IGP’s fifth partner, joining Uri Erde, Assaf Harel, and founders Haim Shani and Moshe Lichtman. Before joining IGP, Kop served as a partner in Innovation Endeavors, a venture capital firm owned by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt. Kop has also served as a chief operating officer and board member of online content promotion company Outbrain Inc. and as managing partner at equity investment company GlenRock Israel Ltd., where he led investments in companies such as Mobileye, Outbrain, and Rainbow Medical Ltd.

Since it was founded in 2014, IGP has invested in nine companies including online jewelry and diamond retailer R2NET, listed as James Allen Diamonds, Inc., and Panaya Ltd., which provides automation services for upgrading ERP systems. In June, IGP closed a $230 million new investment fund, IGP II, set to invest in mature Israeli tech startups.
