Israeli interracial comedy series Nevsu took home the comedy award at the 46th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York City on Monday.

The Israeli sitcom was sold to the American FOX network in April.

In the comedy category, Nevsu defeated the shows Mexico’s Club de Cuervos, Spain’s El Fin de la Comedia , and Workin' Moms from Canada. 44 nominees represented 20 countries across 11 categories in this year’s competition.
Israeli writer Etgar Keret, who was representing the Netherlands in the arts programming category, won for his hybrid documentary Etgar Keret: Based on a True Story.
