Zebra Medical Partners With Three of Israel’s Largest Healthcare Providers
Sourasky Medical Center and HMOs Clalit and Maccabi will use Zebra Medical’s algorithms to increase efficiency, prevent misdiagnosis, and improve early detection of disease and injury
Medical analytics company Zebra Medical Vision Ltd. has partnered with Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov Hospital) and Israel’s two largest health maintenance organizations (HMO) Clalit Health Services and Maccabi Healthcare Services, Zebra Medical announced Thursday. The three healthcare providers are responsible for 90% of Israeli patients, according to the statement.
Founded in 2014 and based in Shefayim, a kibbutz in central Israel, Zebra Medical uses artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for the automated analysis of radiological scans such as X-ray, CT, and MRI.
Per the agreements, Sourasky’s emergency room will use Zebra Medical’s algorithms to prioritize radiologists’ workloads, assuring the most severe cases are diagnosed and treated first; Maccabi will use Zebra Medical’s technology as a “second opinion” for breast cancer diagnosis; and Clalit will apply the technology for early detection of osteoporosis and heart disease.
