Israeli Venture Capital Firm Pitango Appoints Two New Partners

Pitango has invested in over 250 companies to date and has more than $2 billion in assets under management

Israel-based firm Pitango Venture Capital has appointed Idit Muallem-Yedid and Yair Cassuto as general partners, the firm announced Wednesday.

Muallem-Yedid joined Pitango in 2013 after previously holding positions at digital entertainment company Exent Technologies Ltd. and Nasdaq-listed billing company Amdocs Inc. Muallem-Yedid played a prominent role in Pitango’s investment in online payments fraud prevention startup Riskified Ltd. and marketing analytics company AppsFlyer Ltd., according to the statement.

Prior to joining Pitango in 2017, Cassuto worked for IBM in New York for over six years and was an advisor to the Israeli Ministry of Communications.

 

Founded in 1993 and based in the Tel Aviv suburb of Herzliya, Pitango focuses on Israeli tech and healthcare companies at all stages. The firm has invested in over 250 companies to date, and has more than $2 billion in assets under management, according to company statements. Portfolio companies include ridesharing company Via Transportation Inc., location technology company Foursquare Labs Inc., and Nasdaq-listed cybersecurity firm ForeScout Technologies Inc.
