Israel’s Largest Travel Management Company is About to Double in Size, Says CEO

Israel’s largest travel management company is about to complete a merger that will double its size, according to Iya Magen, CEO of Israeli travel agency Talma Travel and Tours Ltd. Speaking Thursday at Calcalist’s third annual Mind the Tech conference in London, Magen said Talma Travel became the largest travel management company in Israel due to several mergers and acquisitions over the past five years.

 

“If you haven’t heard of us, you’re not alone,” Magen said.

 

 
Talma is very tech-oriented and invests a lot of resources into a privately owned tech incubator, to invest in startups that develop forecasting models for predicting the optimal time to make travel bookings, Magen said.
