Berkeley SkyDeck is an opportunity for Israeli entrepreneurs to build their business in the U.S., Novick said in a phone interview with Calcalist Tuesday. The program is intended for early stage companies developing research-based technologies in the fields of software, robotics, and life sciences, he added.
Selected startups will receive a $100,000 investment and a shared office space in downtown Berkeley, and will have an opportunity to pitch their technology to over 650 local investors.
