Jet packs are a new category of flying vehicles that don’t fall under pre-existing flight regulatory approvals, according to British inventor and entrepreneur Richard Browning, founder of Gravity Industries Ltd. Browning spoke to CTech Thursday at Calcalist's WeTech Berlin 2020 conference, held in collaboration with Israel's Bank Leumi and German real estate company Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC.

Browning founded Gravity Industries in 2017. The company develops the Daedalus Mark 1, a jet pack that uses several miniature jet engines to achieve vertical human flight. Gravity Industries completed its first successful test flight in 2017, Browning said.
