Smart Lighting Startup Juganu Raises $18 Million

Jauganu develops an end-to-end service for state of the art lighting. The company utilizes smart lighting, advanced connectivity, and edge processing technologies to maximize energy efficiency and lighting stability

Local lighting startup Juganu Ltd. has raised $18 million in a recent funding round, the company announced Thursday. The round was led by San Francisco-based venture capital firm Comcast Ventures, with participation from existing investors Viola Growth and Nasdaq-listed billing company Amdocs Inc. The new round brings the company’s total funding raised to date to $41 million, according to pitchbook.

 

In a statement, Juganu said it intends to use the funds to expand its reach to new markets.

"Juganu continues to expand and to bring its solutions and technologies to benefit some of the world's major cities, communities, international retail chains, indoor farms, campuses, and more. We expect the COVID-19 pandemic to emphasize the need for safer, healthier, and better protected spaces which we can deliver,” said Eran Ben-Shmuel, Juganu’s co-founder and CEO.
