Data-Based Credit Startup Fundbox Appoints Uber Exec as VP of Finance

Before joining Fundbox Rose Zhong ran Uber’s global pricing strategies and managed a billion-dollar marketing and incentive budget

Fundbox, a startup developing data analytics and predictive modeling-based payment and credit solutions for small businesses, appointed former Uber finance executive Rose Zhong as Vice President of Finance. Fundbox announced the appointment on Thursday.

Fundbox's technology taps into multiple data sources to assess risk to qualify and extend credit to small businesses. Founded in 2012 and based in San Francisco and Tel Aviv, Fundbox has raised over $100 million investment from Spark Capital Growth, Bezos Expeditions - the personal investment arm of Jeff Bezos, General Catalyst Partners, and Khosla Ventures, among others.

Before joining Fundbox, Ms. Zhong held senior leadership positions at Uber, which included running Uber’s global pricing strategies and managing a billion-dollar marketing and incentive budget.

 

Fundbox also announced it promoted Sebastian Rymarz to Chief Business Officer and Prashant Fuloria to Chief Operations Officer.
