Users of the Missbeez app can order about 70 different beauty treatments, from manicures to hairstyling, by professionals who come to the client's home. Missbeez screens and trains the beauty care professionals it uses, determining prices for the various treatments.

Founded in 2015 by Gil Bouhnick and Maya Gura, Missbeez is currently available to users in the Tel Aviv area and in London. Missbeez’s app has 65,000 downloads with 40,000 of those in Israel, co-founder Maya Gura said in an interview, adding that the company plans to expand its service to other cities like Jerusalem, Manchester, and Madrid.

“We are a technology firm first,” Ms. Gura said. “Both of us are tech people and we don’t have much experience in the beauty world,“

she added.

“Everything runs on algorithms we developed,” Ms. Gura said. “Right now we offer beauty and fitness services, but we can offer any kind of services on this platform.”

The current funding round will help Missbeez upgrade its application and algorithms to allow the company to offer targeted and personalized discounts. The company will also use the investment to train its beauty professionals.
