3D printer maker loses second CEO in two years. On Tuesday Stratasys announced Ilan Levin will be stepping down as both CEO and director on Friday. Mr. Levin was appointed as the company’s CEO in July 2016. Earlier this month, the company reported a 6% year over year drop in revenue for the first quarter of 2018. Read more

 

Alibaba leads $26.4 million round for data analytics startup SQream. New York-headquartered SQream develops a graphics processing units (GPU) based database management system that offers corporations an economical way to analyze large datasets. In February, Alibaba's cloud computing arm announced a partnership with SQream to market the database to its Chinese cloud customers. Read more

 

Autoloans company Lendbuzz secures $30 million in funding. Lendbuzz partners with auto dealerships to offer loans to consumers with sparse U.S. credit history, such as international students and expats. The current round was led by the U.S. division of Israel-based Bank Hapoalim, Israel-based Viola Credit and ConnectOne Bank. Read more

 

Medtech investment firm Acclemed leads $17 million round for derma company Strata. Strata develops laser devices for the treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis and vitiligo. Following the investment, Israel-based Accelmed became Strata's largest shareholder, and Accelmed's managing partner Uri Geiger will become Strata's chairman. Read more
