The Israeli government has announced it will allocate $686,000 (NIS 2.5 million) to a new program promoting smart city technologies. Launched on Tuesday, the Cityzoom initiative aims connect municipalities with local startups in fields such as communication infrastructures, smart mobility, information security, and urban farming. As part of the initiative, the government is set to launch a database listing unanswered needs and problems in the urban environment.
