Israel’s Ministry of Economy Launches Initiative to Promote Aviation Cybersecurity
The initiative aims to encourage Israeli companies to develop comprehensive cybersecurity solutions for commercial aviation
On Wednesday, Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry, together with government-owned defense contractor Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI), announced the launch of an initiative to promote cybersecurity technologies for the aviation industry. As part of the initiative, Israeli cyber companies including firewall pioneer Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. and information security company CyberArk Software Ltd. will collaborate as part of a consortium with aviation technology companies including IAI and Cockpit Innovation, the corporate venture arm of Israeli national carrier El Al. The initiative aims to encourage Israeli companies to develop comprehensive cybersecurity solutions for the commercial aviation industry, the ministry said in a statement.
