Predictive Patient Care Startup Medial EarlySign Partners With Israeli HMO on Flu Vaccine Campaign

EarlySign combines machine-learning technology and decades-worth of electronic health records (EHR) to create an artificial intelligence-based disease risk predictor

 

Predictive patient care startup Medial EarlySign Ltd. has partnered with Israeli health maintenance organization Maccabi Healthcare Services to enhance the latter’s flu vaccination campaign, the company announced Monday. As part of the partnership agreement, Maccabi will integrate EarlySign’s flu algorithm, which flags people at high risk of developing flu-related complications, to target them with its vaccination campaign.

 

Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

Established in 2009, EarlySign combines machine-learning technology and decades-worth of electronic health records (EHR) to create an artificial intelligence-based risk predictor. The company's algorithms can analyze dozens of EHR factors such as demographics, medication history, and lab results to identify red flags that could point to individuals at high risk of developing medical conditions like cancer and diabetes.
