Israel is more than ‘semiconductors and cyber’, says Remagine Ventures
Eze Vidra joined CTech to discuss some of the industries that are moving markets in the entertainment and gaming space

“If you’re a cyber company, there’s going to be 20 funds that will jump on you,” said Eze Vidra, Managing Partner at Remagine Ventures speaking at Gaming2021. The VC firm invests primarily in companies at the intersection of tech, entertainment, gaming, and eCommerce - something not so traditional in Startup Nation. “If you’re an entertainment or gaming company, there’s not that many.”
According to Vidra, Remagine invests in Seed and pre-Seed rounds “for the serial entrepreneurs who are coming back and who figured something out about how consumer tastes are changing… When people think about Israel they think about semiconductors and cyber. But the reality is that half of the Israeli unicorns are in B2C space,” he said, citing companies like Lemonade, Moon Active, and ironSource.
To date, Remagine Ventures has invested in companies like NOVOS, which helps provide personalized training for Fortnite players, and Madskil, which provides “engagement layers on top of games.” Another company in its portfolio, Minute Media, was ranked as Calcalist’s Most Promising Startup of 2021.
