“You might say it's not natural to build a startup outside of Tel Aviv, Herzliya, or the center region,” said Ronen Yehoshua, Founder and CEO at Morphisec when speaking to CTech for its Out of the Bubble series. “But this is a special case because there are a lot of meeting points around this ecosystem that were built through the years.”

Morphisec helps enterprises be better protected against advanced threats like ransomware, supply chain, issues, and more. The company and its technology were born out of the Cyber Labs of Beer Sheva’s Ben Gurion University.

“We have the university with its research, we have this high tech park which was built with the support of the government and city hall,” he explained when describing the region. “Major companies also came here to build their research centers, like Dell and others. The combination of all these components made this place a very special place that actually brought a lot of advantages to young companies and others that want to build new innovation - specifically in the space of cyber because this area was defined from the beginning, and aimed to be, the cyber center of Israel.”
