“There’s no reason Israel can’t be ‘the proptech nation’”

“Technology really did not affect property and construction till now,” LeumiTech CEO Timor Arbel-Sadras told CTech at PropTech Tel Aviv, “so there’s lots of room to make real change and impact”

“Proptech is a rising industry within Israeli tech,” LeumiTech CEO Timor Arbel-Sadras told CTech at PropTech Tel Aviv. The event was sponsored by Calclaist, CTech, Leumi. and LeumiTech and examined the world of real estate technologies, asset management and the optimization of construction processes, as well as the data revolution and innovation sweeping the world of traditional construction.
“Proptech (property tech) and contech (construction tech) are still small phenomena in this industry, although we know that real estate and construction are huge markets both in Israel and globally,” she said. “However, we did not see so much technology there and till now tech really did not affect property and construction, so there is a lot of room to make real change and impact.
“Over the years the market was very conservative and didn’t want to take the risks in applying new technologies, but now with the macroeconomic changes in interest rates etc, we see that the motivation to take the risks and reduce time to market and increase effectiveness in project management is increasing, so this a great opportunity for proptech and contech to rise.”
When asked if the ‘startup nation’, could become the ‘proptech nation’, Abel-Sadras responded: “The source of our success as the ‘startup nation’ applies to the real estate, proptech, and contech industries, so there is no reason Israel cannot be a leading player in this market.”
