Founded in 2016 by Israeli entrepreneur Haim Dabah, Kidbox uses proprietary data science and machine learning to create customized clothes subscription boxes for kids. The boxes are shipped seasonally across the U.S. and customers may ship back unwanted items, paying only for the items they keep.

Kidbox has over 1.2 million customers and has raised $28 million to date.

Paul Hsiao, Canvas Ventures General Partner, will join the Kidbox board of directors, the companies said.

According to Kidbox, the company donates a new clothing item to a child in need for every box it sells, through a partnership with U.S.-based non-profit Delivering Good, Inc. To date, Kidbox has donated clothing items valued at $3.9 million to children in need, the company said.

Kidbox said it would use the new funding to further expand the company's data science team and advance customer acquisition.
