Israeli Company Spikes Popcorn, Pizza, and Iced coffee With Cannabis

Earlier this month, Cannibble raised $655,000 in a crowdfunding campaign to establish a manufacturing facility in the U.S.

An Israeli company developing cannabis-enriched foods for recreational consumption has raised $655,000 (NIS 2.4 million) from 750 backers in a crowdfunding campaign, according to Israeli crowdfunding platform Pipelbiz. The company, Cannibble FoodTech Ltd., said in its crowdfunding page it intends to use the funds to establish a manufacturing facility in the U.S. Cannibble registered in Israel in August 2018.

 

Cannibble develops pre-made foods and beverages such as cake mixes, iced coffee mix, spice blends and toppings for pizza and popcorn, which the company says could get consumers high. Cannibble’s products are enriched with the active components of the cannabis plant, THC, the psychoactive compound in marijuana, and CBD, which is considered to have medicinal benefits.
