"Security is top of mind for Google, (and) data privacy is top of mind - we are now in the process of building several data centers in Israel to support (Project) Nimbus and other local Israeli customers,” explained Google Cloud’s Country Manager Boaz Maoz when speaking to CTech at Tech TLV. “Privacy and data security is top of mind for us. I think this is a conversation I hear less and less from customers because they understand that a global player, like Google, that employs top-notch cybersecurity engineers has the knowledge, the skillset, and the intent to provide cloud services that are secured.”

Google arrived in Israel in 2005. Today, the company employs thousands of Israelis, mostly engineers, who work on keeping its products safe for billions of people around the world. Maoz himself leads the Cloud services that are helping play their part in the digital transformation seen since the start of the pandemic.
