Check Point acquiring Israeli cybersecurity startup Spectral for $60 million

Founded in 2020, Spectral’s developer-first approach to security focuses on code safety and trust, fast code scanning, and simple developer experience

Israeli cybersecurity unicorn Check Point announced on Tuesday the acquisition of Spectral, an Israeli startup, which provides developer-first security tools. With this acquisition, Check Point will extend its cloud solution, Check Point CloudGuard, with the developer-first security platform and provide the widest range of cloud application security use cases including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scanning and hardcoded secrets detection.

 

Spectral was founded by Dotan Nahum (CEO), Idan Didi (COO), Uri Shamay (Chief Architect), and Lior Reuven (VP Engineering). Spectral employs 20 people and raised a $6 million Seed round last year.
