Moovit to Integrate Mobike and Bird Service in its Transportation App

Moovit’s app will soon offer vehicle sharing services to users in Israel as part of its urban navigation options

Israel-based Moovit App Global Ltd. will integrate local vehicle sharing services in Israel into its public transit app, the company announced Thursday. Among the services to be made available through the app is Tel Aviv’s city-held shared car service Auto-Tel, bike-sharing service Beijing Mobike Technology Co. Ltd., and Los Angeles-headquartered electric scooter-sharing service Bird Rides Inc.

Founded in 2012 and based in central Israel, Moovit develops a free mobile navigation app that offers real-time public transit information in 2,700 cities spanning 86 countries.

With its new offerings, Moovit’s app will show these services as part of its navigation options, letting users book them directly from within the Moovit app.

 

Moovit’s sales have grown by 350% in the past year, according to company statements. The company raised a fourth funding round at $50 million, led by Intel Capital. Moovit currently has 140 employees and touts having about 335 million users currently.
