Infront launches new innovation lab in Israel

The sports industry business services provider aims to invest at least $1 million in Israeli tech

Infront, a leading provider of business services to sport organizations, has launched a new innovation laboratory in Israel. The Swiss-based company was acquired a few years ago by Wanda and is traded on the Nasdaq under Wanda Sport (WSG).

 

The company provides business and technological services to broadcasters, global sports brands, leagues, and more. Infront employs more than 1,000 people in 16 countries and works with FIFA, UEFA, FIBA, ​​and others. The company provides media, production, sponsorship, and other services, generating revenues approaching $900 million a year.

 

In recent years, the company has also invested resources in developing technologies and startups in the field of sportstech.

 

Infront Lab, the innovation laboratory to be based in Israel, will also include a global digital agency for the world of sports. The company is currently collaborating with several Israeli entities including WSC Sports, Minute.ly, and Videocites.

 

According to Infront, investments in Israel will reach at least $1 million. "We have already invested in several Israeli companies and we intend to continue investing," the company said. "The innovation lab will also initiate business connections between various bodies here in Israel and large sports organizations from around the world," Infront Lab associate director Damian Browarnik said.
