Asaf Azulay joining Team8 as VP of Marketing

Azulay will be leaving Bank Hapoalim where he currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer

Asaf Azulay, who has served as Bank Hapoalim’s Chief Marketing Officer over the past five years, is joining Team8 as the group’s VP of Marketing. As part of his role, Azulay will be responsible for driving the marketing strategy of Team8 funds and portfolio companies across the group. Azulay will join Team8 in Q2 of this year.

 

Team8, founded by Nadav Tzafrir, a former commander of IDF intelligence Unit 8200, builds and invests in technology companies in the fields of cybersecurity, data, and fintech. The group also has an early-stage investment fund.

 

Azulay led the marketing and advertising strategy of Bit at Hapoalim and also helped raise the profile of Hapoalim Hi-Tech. Azulay previously served as CEO of GITAM BBDO, a strategic consulting firm in Israel.

Team8 has been bolstering its team over the past couple of years with prominent names from the tech and banking sectors, the most notable of which was Rakefet Russak-Aminoach, the former CEO of Bank Leumi. The group was also joined by Yuval Tal, a founder of fintech company Payoneer which went public last year, and Ronen Assia, the co-founder of eToro, which is set to go public on Wall Street via a SPAC merger in the near future.
