Salesforce appoints Oren Winter as Head of Salesforce Israel R&D Center

“Oren has an exceptional track record leading teams at the forefront of technology, and I’m delighted he will now spearhead the Israel R&D Center,” added Srini Tallapragada, President and Chief Engineering Officer.

Salesforce has announced that it has appointed Oren Winter as Head of Salesforce Israel R&D Center, where he will lead the program in Israel and continue the development of the company's leading Marketing Intelligence & search and Data Cloud products. Winter joined Salesforce in 2021 as SVP Engineering in Israel.
"I am proud and excited to lead the R&D Center in Israel, which is at the forefront of global technology and influences the work processes of companies in Israel and around the world," said Winter. "I want to give my heartfelt thanks to [former Head] Efrat Rapoport for her incredible work as our Israel Site Lead and her leadership over the past years. The Israeli site has demonstrated strength and resiliency over the past few months, and this makes me even prouder to take on this new role and more optimistic about the innovation and value we will continue to deliver and the overall impact on the Salesforce ecosystem."

Before joining Salesforce, he spent more than 20 years at Microsoft in both Israel and the U.S. in engineering and general management roles. In his role, he will oversee the R&D hub which spans the company's products, such as the Einstein AI platform and AI-driven apps in Marketing, Sales, and Services, including Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Einstein Conversational AI, and Field Service Management.

Salesforce Israel was established in 2011 with the acquisition of Israeli startup Navajo Systems and has since served as the R&D hub responsible for developing solutions on behalf of the international company. Today, it employs over 750 people in three development centers in Tel Aviv, Petah Tikva, and Nazareth.
