Warner Music acquires Israeli music tech startup Revelator

The deal will integrate Revelator’s digital distribution, royalty, and analytics platform into WMG’s global operations.

Warner Music Group (WMG), the global music giant controlled by Len Blavatnik, announced on Wednesday that it has signed a binding agreement to acquire independent music platform Revelator, an Israeli startup providing a technology platform for independent music businesses worldwide. The deal is expected to close in the next quarter.
Founded in 2012, Revelator is a music platform specializing in digital music distribution, copyright management, royalty management, and real-time analytics. Its integration into WMG will expand the scope of WMG's activities and enhance the range of services it offers to record labels and artists.

Today, Revelator supports hundreds of customers through an advanced, cloud-based platform that streamlines the operations and financial management of artists, record labels, and distributors. The company’s team brings deep expertise in music, technology, and financial management, which will now contribute to WMG’s global operations, while continuing to serve Revelator’s existing clients.
WMG CEO Robert Kyncl said: “The combination of Revelator’s leading-edge technology and array of premier services with our global infrastructure will turbocharge our joint mission to support more labels and artists around the world.
“I’m very pleased to welcome the Revelator team to the WMG family.”

We’re very happy to partner with WMG to superserve artists, labels, and distributors around the world.”
