Israel’s Smart Shooter lands new U.S. Marine Corps contract as drone warfare drives procurement surge
Latest award adds to growing portfolio of U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force deals.
Smart Shooter, an Israeli developer of fire control systems designed to improve precision in combat and counter-drone scenarios, has secured a new follow-on contract with the U.S. Marine Corps valued at $3.4 million, extending its growing footprint across American defense forces.
The agreement, awarded by Marine Corps Systems Command, also includes options for additional systems, spare parts, and training worth approximately $2.4 million. If fully exercised, the total contract value would rise to about $5.8 million.
Delivery of the systems and associated services is expected to be completed largely in the fourth quarter of 2026, with a smaller portion of services extending into the first quarter of 2027.
The Marine Corps deal is the latest in a series of recent U.S. military contracts for Smart Shooter, reflecting a broader pattern of adoption across multiple branches of the American armed forces over the past year.
In March 2026, the company announced a contract with the U.S. Joint Interagency Task Force JIATF-401 valued at approximately $2.4 million. In May, it secured a U.S. Army contract worth about $10.7 million, followed in early June by its first significant contract with the U.S. Navy, valued at roughly $1.8 million.
Together, these successive awards point to expanding procurement activity across U.S. defense organizations, particularly in response to what the company describes as increasing operational demand for counter-drone capabilities at the tactical level.
Smart Shooter’s SMASH family of systems is designed to assist soldiers in targeting and engagement, and is deployed by military and security forces in the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, Germany, NATO member states and other allied countries.
