Greenfield Partners appoints three Principals as firm broadens global reach
Meir Cohen, Ortal Sasson-Hendin, and Josh Trup have been named as Principals by the VC firm.
Greenfield Partners has announced the appointment of Meir Cohen, Ortal Sasson-Hendin, and Josh Trup as Principals.
Meir joined Greenfield in 2020 as an investment intern and shortly thereafter received a return offer to join the firm as a full-time analyst. Over the past five years, Meir has played a key role in leading investment rounds and supporting portfolio companies including Coralogix, EquityBee, floLIVE, Planck, Torq, and Vast Data. Meir holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance from Reichman University.
Ortal joined Greenfield after several years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, EY, and GSE. Since joining the fund, she has played a key role in leading investment rounds in companies such as Exodigo, Silverfort, Capitolis, Eleos Health, Oligo Security, and Cynet. Ortal holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University.
Josh joined Greenfield in early 2024, bringing a diverse background that bridges technology and finance. He began his career as a product manager at Arthur, a London-based proptech startup, before spending five years in M&A and venture capital across Europe following its acquisition. At Greenfield, he has already contributed to the firm’s investment in Oligo Security and now plays a leading role in driving the firm’s European expansion. Josh holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh.
“The promotion of Meir, Ortal, and Josh reflects the significant ways each of them has stretched during their time at Greenfield to help drive the fund’s growth, and quite candidly formalizes what has already been a reality for some time,” said Shay Grinfeld, Managing Partner. “They have been instrumental in building relationships with founders, sourcing and underwriting deals, and supporting companies as they scale. Their promotion to Principal is a testament to this leadership, and we feel privileged to shape Greenfield’s next chapter together.”
Earlier this year, Greenfield announced $400 million in new capital commitments, bringing total assets under management (AUM) above $1 billion. The firm’s portfolio includes unicorns VAST Data, BigPanda, Capitolis, and Coralogix, as well as notable companies such as Cynet, Dustphotonics, Eleos, EquityBee, Exodigo, FloLive, Goodship, Mixtiles, Oligo Security, Panorays, Quali, Silverfort, and Torq. Past exits include Guardicore, acquired by Akamai for $600 million; Avanan, acquired by Check Point Software; and Planck, acquired by Applied Systems.
