C8 Health lands $12M Series A to power hospitals with on-demand clinical intelligence

AI platform helps doctors and nurses retrieve verified protocols in seconds.

C8 Health, a company from the Team8 portfolio that has developed an AI platform for integrating and making clinical information accessible, announced a $12 million Series A funding round led by Team8, with participation from 10D and Vertex Ventures Israel. With the current round, the company's total funding reaches $18 million, including a $6 million Seed round led by Vertex Ventures Israel and 10D.
C8's artificial intelligence platform is designed to make clinical information accessible to medical teams in real time, personalized to the role of the caregiver (doctor, nurse, intern, etc.). In addition, the system allows for monitoring compliance with clinical guidelines and enables teams to set measurable goals to improve quality indicators. C8 integrates with all hospital systems, is accessible from a computer or mobile app, and is embedded in the EMR (electronic medical record system).

According to the company, the lack of consistency in medical care leads to suboptimal patient outcomes and economic losses estimated at more than $345 billion per year in the United States alone. Although many clinical guidelines already exist and are documented, they are very difficult to locate and retrieve in real time. In addition, the existence of multiple knowledge management systems and guidelines in different formats makes it difficult for staff to find critical information at crucial moments.
C8's platform includes an AI interface that allows doctors and nurses to ask questions in natural language and receive accurate answers from their medical institution's verified knowledge base. Furthermore, C8 users can access treatment protocols from a growing network of hospitals and clinical organizations that collaborate through the platform, allowing staff not only to understand their own institution's guidelines but also to compare them with validated approaches from other leading institutions worldwide.
The company was founded in 2022 by Dr. Ido Zamberg, Tzach Klo, and Galia Rosen Schwartz, who serves as the company's CEO. It employs 25 people, half in Israel and half in the U.S. More than 100 hospitals currently use C8. The company has development offices in Israel and Europe and a marketing and sales arm in the United States.
"It is exciting to see how we enable hospitals to implement their best practices effectively and gain control over both care quality and delivery costs," said Galia Rosen Schwarz, CEO and co-founder of C8 Health. "This round will help us grow our team to support the needs and demand in the market. We already see how this approach is becoming the new standard, driving adherence to best practices across healthcare systems. Having a single source of truth for such a broad range of clinical needs is proving invaluable."
"C8 Health is addressing a real need for healthcare teams across virtually every hospital and specialty," said Sarit Firon, Managing Partner at Team8. "The rapid adoption of their product and exceptional clinician engagement speak to the immense value of their solution. We strongly believe that C8 Health will play a pivotal role in shaping a better future for both physicians and their patients."
