Code for Israel CEO and former Knesset member Idan Roll discusses harnessing the local tech sector to solve the public and social sphere's most complex challenges.

Code for Israel CEO and former Member of the Israeli Knesset Idan Roll said the organization's mission is to tackle "the most complicated challenges for government ministries, for hospitals, for municipalities, for NGOs" by providing them with digital solutions. Roll spoke to CTech’s Amy Shapiro at the Tech1 Gala and Awards night, where he received the Social Impact of the Year award.
Freshly out of government, Roll described the non-profit as "an amazing way to create impact in Israel," noting that they "harness our amazing community of tech professionals of all sorts" to drive innovation in both the public and social sector.
Looking ahead to 2027, Roll announced "we just launched our new program to fight anti-Semitism," featuring their "first international cohort with NGOs from all over the world."
