Eric Reiner, partner at Vine Ventures, spoke with CTech's Amy Shapiro at Calcalist's annual Tech1 conference at Expo Tel Aviv.
He started the fund about six years ago to invest across the US-Israel corridor and has since moved to Israel. Reiner described Vine as neither an American nor an Israeli fund and explained how it supports founders with customers, financing and access to compute.
He also discussed the fund's early bets on Eon and Wonderful, two of the largest companies founded since October 7. Looking ahead, he named AI infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity and defense as the sectors that will drive Israeli tech over the next decade.
