The next generation of founders must look beyond their immediate teams, stated Erez Raphael, CEO of DarioHealth (NASDAQ: DRIO), speaking to CTech's Amy Shapiro at Sullivan's Annual Client event in Tel Aviv. Offering his perspective as a growth enabler at the event, hosted by one of the sponsors behind the ScaleUp House initiative by Calcalist and Showcase IL, Raphael explained that he would "highly recommend to surround ourselves with people who already did it before, people that have the right experience, the right connections."
Specifically for founders wanting to conquer foreign markets, Raphael warned that "usually a one-man show is gonna be extremely complicated." To properly decode the dynamics of a new market, he advised founders to hire "local people that understand the culture and so on and also if possible to operate from the country that you want to sell into." Ultimately, however, Raphael asserts, "Once you have a good product, the sky is the limit."
