
Oligo Security raises $60 million as AI-driven attacks accelerate shift toward runtime security
The Israeli startup says attackers are now discovering vulnerabilities faster than companies can patch them, creating demand for real-time protection inside production environments.
Oligo Security, which develops runtime security solutions for applications, cloud workloads and AI systems, has raised $60 million in additional funding, bringing the company’s total capital raised since its founding to $140 million.
The round included participation from cybersecurity and technology investors including Ballistic Ventures, Canon Capital, Greenfield Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Red Dot Capital, and TLV Partners, as well as prominent angel investors including Eyal Waldman, co-founder of Mellanox Technologies, which was acquired by Nvidia for $6.9 billion.
The new funding comes after a year of rapid growth for the company, during which Oligo said its annual recurring revenue (ARR) increased by 300% year-over-year and its valuation more than doubled since its previous Series B round.
“AI has fundamentally changed the economics of exploitation,” said Nadav Czerninski, co-founder and CEO of Oligo Security. “When attackers can find vulnerabilities and build exploits at machine speed, runtime becomes the only place where you can definitively understand true risk and stop attacks without impacting production.”
Founded in 2022 by Czerninski, CTO Gal Elbaz and CPO Avshalom Hilo, Oligo focuses on runtime security, protecting software while it is running rather than relying solely on traditional vulnerability scanning before deployment.
The three founders are childhood friends and veterans of Israel’s cyber units, including Military Intelligence units 8200 and 81, as well as the IDF’s ICT Corps.
The company currently employs about 100 people, including approximately 70 employees at its Israeli development center and the remainder across offices in New York and San Francisco.
The company’s platform monitors code execution in real time, identifying which vulnerabilities are actually exploitable, detecting malicious behavior and blocking attack attempts without disrupting production environments. The company says this approach allows organizations to reduce the overwhelming volume of vulnerabilities they need to manage and buy time between discovering vulnerabilities and deploying patches through virtual patching.
In recent years, companies have increasingly struggled with the gap between identifying software vulnerabilities and fixing them. The rise of AI-powered attacks has accelerated this challenge by allowing attackers to discover and exploit weaknesses faster, pushing organizations toward security solutions that can respond while applications are actively running.
The company has expanded its partnerships and presence in the enterprise and government markets. AWS selected Oligo as the exclusive AI runtime security partner for AWS Security Hub Extended, while Oligo also joined Palantir’s FedStart Program to accelerate its path toward FedRAMP High and DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5) authorization.
The company also recently launched Runtime Exploit Blocking, extending its platform’s capabilities to detect and block exploit attempts at the application layer in real time.
