At Mind the Tech Berlin 2025, Eveline Steinberger, CEO of The Blue Minds Company and venture partner at JVP, emphasized Europe’s growing appeal for Israeli startups. She highlighted the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) as particularly promising for startups seeking markets with regulatory depth, industrial infrastructure, and strong scientific research capabilities.
“ My main argument for Israeli startups to come to Europe is it's a huge market,” she said. “500 million end consumers alone in the European Union, and another 250 million across Europe.”
Steinberger also outlined her approach to building robust ecosystems for startups. Drawing on her experience at JVP, which helped establish hubs for food tech and cybersecurity in Israel, she seeks to connect entrepreneurs with universities, postdocs, municipalities, and local industries. Looking ahead, she expects deep tech, cybersecurity, and defense sectors to be particularly relevant in Europe given current geopolitical challenges. Through these initiatives, Steinberger aims to provide Israeli entrepreneurs with both scale and strategic guidance as they expand into European markets.
