Copperhelm secures $7 million Seed to automate cloud security with AI agents

Founders from Unity, McAfee and RSA tackle fragmentation in enterprise cloud systems.

Cybersecurity startup Copperhelm, which develops an AI-based cloud security platform, has raised $7 million in a Seed round led by TLV Partners, with participation from ICON, toDay Ventures, and SaaS Ventures Israel.
The company was founded in late 2025 by CEO Shimon Tolts, CPO Eyar Zilberman, and CTO Roman Labunsky. The founding team brings experience in cloud and cybersecurity from companies such as Unity, McAfee, and RSA, with a track record of building infrastructure and security systems at scale. Tolts has been recognized as an AWS Hero, while Zilberman is a GitHub Star. The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv. Following the funding round, Shay Michel, managing partner at Merlin Ventures, will join Copperhelm’s board of directors.

Copperhelm is developing a cloud protection model based on AI agents designed to operate with an engineer-level understanding of a customer’s cloud environment. The platform continuously monitors changes across cloud systems, detects cyber threats, and performs autonomous remediation, supported by real-time contextual analysis. The goal is to reduce manual workloads for security teams, mitigate risks, and improve operational efficiency.
Despite rapid advances in artificial intelligence, cloud security has lagged behind other domains in adopting automation. Much of the work in this area remains manual, largely due to the complexity and fragmentation of modern cloud environments. These conditions make it difficult for AI systems to access and interpret the full context required to act reliably. As a result, organizations cannot simply deploy a general-purpose AI model across hundreds of cloud accounts and expect accurate or consistent outcomes.
“Engineering teams got AI years ago; security was left behind doing manual work,” said Shimon Tolts, CEO and Co-Founder of Copperhelm. “Copperhelm finally brings true AI to cloud security. It’s like instantly adding twenty senior engineers to your team. Our agents investigate, validate, and remediate threats, eliminating the backlog almost immediately.”
