"Writing AI does not make you an AI"

"Writing AI does not make you an AI," stated Sawan Gilda, Director of Global Strategic Alliance at Mitsubishi Electric Japan. Speaking to CTech’s Amy Shapiro at the Tech1 Gala and Awards night, Gilda debunked some of the industry hype cycle surrounding AI, warning that "not every AI is AI" and urging companies to be "very precise with your use cases."
Looking ahead to 2027, Gilda highlighted "physical AI and cybersecurity" as the two major trends dominating the tech sector, identifying Israel as a hub where "both these industries are coming up very well."
