“We believe the IPO market is opening up and will remain open for the next two years, which will create a circulation of capital which will benefit the private markets as well,” said Koren Tanach, investor at Varana Capital. When asked whether the recent influx of capital into a number of standout AI and cyber companies is truly an indicator of a new investment cycle, Tanach explained that, while he’s bullish, “I think the leading factor will be the health of the IPO market and the ability to return capital to the LPs and the investment firms.”
Tanach spoke with CTech’s Amy Shapiro during the Summer Cocktail event in Tel Aviv hosted by Fusion VC, a gathering which brought together some of the biggest and best of Israel's venture investors.
Meanwhile, when asked about the impact of geopolitical tensions on the confidence of foreign investors, Tanach says that while “ties with Europe have loosened a bit” and some investors have pushed for “divestiture from positions in Israel,” the investment appetite from the United States remains steadfast. “The ties are extremely close,” he asserts.
