Avi Hasson to step down as Startup Nation Central CEO in early 2026
After four years, the organization begins search for a new leader.
Avi Hasson, CEO of Startup Nation Central, will step down in the first quarter of 2026, after more than four years in the role. Hasson will remain involved until the end of the overlap period, while the board has begun a search for his replacement.
Startup Nation Central (SNC) is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 with the goal of strengthening the Israeli innovation industry and connecting it to the world. The organization operates the Finder platform, an open database of startups, venture capital funds, and corporations in Israel, and serves as an intermediary between the local high-tech industry and governments, investors, and international corporations.
Hasson, who previously served as Chief Scientist and the first CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority, took office at SNC in 2021. Reflecting on his tenure, he said, “After four intense and meaningful years, it is time to pass the lead on. The organization will continue to develop new directions in accordance with the changing needs of the country.”
