“I think founders need to go back to the basics. Make sure they have the right products, that they're going to the right market, and solving a real critical need,” said Lotan Levkowitz, Co-Founder and General Partner at Grove Ventures at Roadshow+, an event hosted by Calcalist and Poalim Tech. “They have this big dream but need to build their company in an efficient manner.”
Grove Ventures was one of the VCs that heard pitches from 18 Israeli startups looking for connections, introductions, and even potential funding. As 2023 comes to its close, the VC firm offered advice to founders looking ahead to the new year.
“I think we are going to have these basic fundamentals and they’re going to find a very open market,” he continued. “There will be less competition and they will be able to attract better talent, maybe at a more fair price. I think now, in this environment, if you can move yourself out of the herd, you actually have better conditions to grow a very big company.”
