8200 Alumni Association launches global program to support Israeli startups amid tech slowdown

Eight Israeli startups will be taking part in an intense program in New York in the coming week, receiving tailored programming on the U.S. market, access to leading VCs and local experts, and will participate in Calcalist’s Mind the Tech conference

The 8200 Alumni Association has announced the first batch of startups participating in the 8200 Global - NYC edition for promising Israeli tech companies seeking U.S. expansion. The first batch of 8 startups will participate in an intensive week of programming in New York City next week and will take part in the Calcalist Mind the Tech Conference.
With the recent slowdown in tech investments, the 8200 Global program provides crucial support for Israeli startups to penetrate the U.S. market and weather the ongoing economic challenges. The 8200 Global: NYC edition is made possible by premier partners including BHI (the U.S operation of Bank Hapoalim), KPMG, and Greenberg Traurig LLP. These leading firms provide critical resources, mentorship and access to local players for the participating startups.

Over the intensive week, the entrepreneurs will receive tailored programming on the U.S. market, access to leading VCs and local experts, and join exclusive networking events to connect with key players in NYC tech and the local 8200 alumni community.
Until today, the 8200 Alumni Association’s acceleration programs 8200 EISP and 8200 Impact supported over 300 companies, over 50% are still active, with 9 exits in excess of total $4.5B. The past 8200 EISP delegations to the U.S. included 40 startup companies, 70% of those signed their first customers in the target market within 6 months after the delegation.
The first batch of 8200 Global NYC Edition showcases Israel's diversity of innovation across various sectors. The founders are either alumni of the 8200 Unit or graduates of leading accelerators like 8200 EISP and 8200 Impact. 50% of the participating startups are women-led.
