Cyber startup Cyera eyes $20 billion valuation in new funding talks

The reported discussions come just four months after its previous financing and would mark another sharp increase in the valuation of the five-year-old company.

Israeli cybersecurity startup Cyera has held preliminary discussions with investors about raising new capital at a valuation of $20 billion, nearly double the value it commanded in its most recent funding round, according to a report by The Information.
The discussions are at an early stage and do not necessarily mean the company will proceed with a financing round. Cyera is exploring another capital raise just four months after its previous one, as concerns over the security risks created by artificial intelligence drive greater attention and spending in the cybersecurity market.

The five-year-old company focuses on protecting corporate data against AI-powered attacks. Its rapid rise has made it one of the most closely watched Israeli cybersecurity startups, with its valuation climbing from $3 billion in 2024 to $6 billion in 2025 and $12 billion in January 2026.
Cyera's most recent fundraising included a $400 million investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, following a $600 million Series G round at a $12 billion valuation. The successive financings brought its total funding to more than $2 billion, with the company raising approximately $1.4 billion during 2026.
A potential $20 billion valuation would represent a significant further increase, particularly given the short interval since its last financing. It would also place Cyera among the most highly valued privately held cybersecurity companies, although the discussions reported by The Information remain preliminary.
The renewed investor interest comes as companies increasingly turn to AI agents and other automated systems, creating new challenges around who can access corporate information and how that data is used. Cyera was founded in 2021 by Yotam Segev and Tamar Bar-Ilan to address data security, and has since expanded its activities into areas including AI-agent security, identity protection and non-human identities.
