
Torq acquires Jit for an estimated $70 million to boost AI security platform
The all-Israeli deal brings context graph technology and a team of 30 engineers to the AI SOC developer.
Torq, which has developed an AI SOC platform for autonomous management of cybersecurity operations using artificial intelligence, announced on Tuesday the acquisition of Jit, a cybersecurity company that built an AI Context Graph technology enabling deep organizational context for security events.
The Israeli companies did not disclose the purchase price, but it is estimated at approximately $70 million. As part of the deal, founder David Melamed and Jit’s team of about 30 employees will join Torq.
Jit’s context technology will be integrated into Torq’s AI SOC platform. The goal is to enhance identification, prioritization, investigation, and response capabilities for security teams by embedding autonomous, AI-driven processes.
Torq was founded by Ofer Smadari, Leonid Belkind, and Eldad Livni, and develops an Agentic AI platform for security operations. The company has expanded its operations among large enterprises and recently raised $140 million at a valuation of $1.2 billion. Its customers include Dolby, Macy’s, Virgin Atlantic, Siemens, PepsiCo, Uber, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Check Point, Armis, Abnormal Security, Domino’s Pizza, Inditex (Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear), Procter & Gamble, Kyocera, Informatica, Valvoline, Telefónica, and Wiz.
Jit was founded in 2021 by David Melamed and Aviram Shmueli and has raised nearly $40 million to date from investors including Boldstart Ventures, Insight Partners, TechAviv, Lama Partners, and Tiger Global. Since 2023, the company has been led by Shai Horovitz, former CRO at Cybereason. Over the years, Jit built a team of engineers, architects, and developers focused on AI-based security technologies and enterprise connectivity.
