Israeli startups raise $1.16 billion in first two days of September
A handful of unusually large rounds in AI, cloud security, HR technology and defense have already pushed September's funding total to twice the amount raised during the entire month last year.
Israeli startups raised $1.164 billion in the first two days of September, setting an unusually fast pace for a month that has only just begun and already doubling the total amount raised during the entirety of September 2025.
The funding was concentrated in a handful of large rounds, including a $550 million investment in enterprise AI company Wonderful, a $300 million round for cloud security company Upwind, a $166 million investment in HR technology company HiBob and a $50 million round for AI security startup AIR Security.
Taken together, the nine funding rounds announced on Sept. 1 and 2 amount to nearly twice the $585 million raised by Israeli startups during all of September 2025. The amount is also almost equal to the total raised in both September and October 2025 ($608 million was raised in October 2025).
The Wonderful and Upwind rounds account for $850 million, or roughly 73% of all Israeli startup funding announced during the first two days of the month.
The remaining deals show the breadth of the sectors attracting capital.
Salesforce led a $166 million investment in HiBob, valuing the Israeli HR technology company at $3.5 billion.
AIR Security, which emerged from stealth, raised $50 million to develop what it describes as a firewall for AI agents. The company is focused on the security risks created as autonomous agents gain access to corporate data, software and third-party tools.
Defense technology also featured. AITAN raised $41 million to expand internationally its combat drone technology, which the company says has accumulated more than 500,000 operational flight hours since its systems began being used by Israeli forces after Oct. 7.
Cybersecurity startup Huskeys raised $27 million in a round led by Blackstone, while smart-toy company Particula raised $15 million to expand internationally. DataAgent emerged from stealth with a $10 million pre-Seed round to develop self-healing infrastructure, and Catch raised $5 million in Seed funding to develop AI agents aimed at automating administrative work for executives.
