Israeli Mossad established combat drone bases on Iranian soil
According to sources, the operation was the result of years of planning, intelligence gathering, and the early deployment of covert capabilities deep inside Iran.
An Israeli security source has revealed the outlines of the Israeli Air Force’s overnight strikes in Iran - a coordinated and unusually large-scale mission involving the IDF, the Mossad, and Israel’s defense industries. According to the source, the operation was the result of years of planning, intelligence gathering, and the early deployment of covert capabilities deep inside Iran.
As part of this effort, Mossad agents carried out extensive operations to smuggle large quantities of specialized weaponry into Iran, to deploy it across various locations, and to launch it toward designated targets with precision and effectiveness.
According to prior reports in the Israeli media, long before the strike, Mossad agents established an explosive drone base on Iranian soil, near the capital, Tehran. These drones were activated during the night and launched toward ground-to-ground missile launchers stationed at air defense bases posing a direct threat to Israel.
As part of the mission to neutralize Iran’s air defense systems that threaten Israeli fighter jets, Mossad operatives covertly introduced advanced strike systems and sophisticated technologies into Iran, installing them on vehicles. Once the surprise assault began, these weapons were activated and completely destroyed the Iranian air defense targets.
In addition, in central Iran, Mossad commando units operated in open areas near SAM (surface-to-air missile) sites, where they had previously deployed high-precision guided weapon systems. At the onset of the Israeli offensive, these systems were triggered, launching missiles at the targets simultaneously and with maximum accuracy.
The attack is somewhat reminiscent of Ukraine's Operation Spiderweb, which took place last week, when Ukrainian drones struck the Russia’s nuclear-capable bombers.
