Microsoft and Israeli startup Classiq collaborate to bring advanced quantum software to researchers and academic institutions

Collaboration to offer academia access to state-of-the-art quantum algorithm design, analysis, and hardware execution via Azure Quantum

Microsoft and Israeli startup Classiq launched on Wednesday a global program for quantum software research and education, dedicated to universities and educational institutions.
The program will offer Classiq’s advanced quantum computing platform and Microsoft Azure Quantum’s cloud access to quantum computers. The combined offering will be used by university professors, students and researchers for conducting courses and carrying out research in all aspects of quantum computing.

The joint offering, already used by leading universities, targets two major goals: Accelerating quantum software education by providing an advanced platform for automated quantum software design and execution; and advancing quantum computing by giving researchers a scalable, robust quantum software design platform with seamless access to computation.

“Bringing the best quantum software stack to academic users is the ultimate way of accelerating the quantum computing revolution. We’re delighted to collaborate with Microsoft on this important endeavor,” said Nir Minerbi, Co-Founder and CEO at Classiq.
