Lior Kantor joins GC Ventures as a Partner
The fund operates under an Investor-Design-Partner-Client (IDPC) model, combining capital investment with hands-on operational partnership and the deployment of technology within active real estate platforms.
GC Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Gelfand Group, which invests in early-stage PropTech and ConTech startups, announced that Lior Kantor has joined the fund as a Partner.
GC Ventures operates under an Investor-Design-Partner-Client (IDPC) model, combining capital investment with operational partnership and the deployment of technologies within active real estate operations. This approach is designed to accelerate the growth of companies developing innovative solutions for the real estate industry by embedding products directly into real-world workflows and portfolios.
Kantor is an architect and entrepreneur, and a graduate of Tel Aviv University. She began her professional career at HQ Architects. In 2021, Kantor led the Israeli delegation to the London Design Biennale. The project, supported by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, won the Public Medal Award and gained international exposure.
In 2022, Kantor founded Tweaks.ai, a PropTech startup that developed a technology platform for large-scale residential planning and design. The company raised more than $2 million and worked with leading real estate developers in Israel and the United States.
The Gelfand Group operates in the U.S. residential real estate market and is led by CPA Doron Gelfand, Founder and Chairman of the group. The group has completed over $1.03 billion in cumulative real estate acquisitions, development, management, and exits.
The fund has invested in a range of early-stage companies, including Agora, a real estate investment management platform; Material Space, an AI-based solution for kitchen and cabinetry contractors; Apply Design, an AI-powered virtual staging and design tool; Constrol, a BIM-based AI platform for construction budget management and control; and Jetbuild, a developer-oriented construction project management system, among others.
“As a PropTech founder, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges of product adoption in the U.S. market,” said Kantor. “Working within an active U.S. real estate platform that spans the full value chain - from development and construction to managing income-producing assets - allows me to identify and help build solutions for real pain points and ensure products are aligned with genuine market needs from a very early stage.”
