Viola Ventures promotes Alex Shmulovich to Partner, strengthening next-gen leadership

Shmulovich focuses on investments in AI, fintech, and defense.

Viola Ventures announced on Tuesday the promotion of Alex Shmulovich from Principal to Partner. Shmulovich joined the firm two years ago, bringing more than nine years of experience in strategic consulting for technology companies.
Before joining Viola, he worked at BCG, where he led strategy design, go-to-market, pricing, and digital transformation projects for global financial services clients and technology scale-ups. He also held investment roles at ClalTech, participating in deals involving companies such as Triple Dot, Yotpo, Gett, and ironSource. Earlier in his career, he advised technology and energy companies on IPOs and M&A transactions at PwC.

Viola Ventures, celebrating 25 years since its founding, is advancing its long-term strategic plan to build next-generation leadership aligned with its investment priorities in vertical AI, fintech, cybersecurity, and AI infrastructure. The firm’s next fund will be led by General Partners Omry Ben David and Zvika Orron, alongside Co-Founder Shlomo Dovrat. Co-Founder Avi Zeevi will continue to serve as a member of the investment committee and as a board member of portfolio companies.
Since 2000, Viola Ventures has managed over $1.3 billion and invested in more than 150 companies, including ironSource, Payoneer, Pagaya, Lightricks, Redis, Immunai, and Faye.
