Base acquires EverAfter in deal estimated at $20 million to build AI engagement OS
The move signals a shift toward treating post-sale engagement as a core growth engine.
Base, a customer-led growth software company, has acquired EverAfter AI in a move that underscores how B2B companies are rethinking post-sale engagement as a core revenue driver rather than a support function. While the Israeli companies did not disclose financial terms, estimates put the value of the deal at around $20 million.
EverAfter, founded in 2020 by Noa Danon and Tal Shemesh, has raised roughly $13 million to date from investors including Vertex Ventures, TLV Partners, and ICON. Base, which has surpassed $10 million in annual recurring revenue, is positioning the acquisition as a step toward building what it calls the industry’s first “AI Engagement OS,” a single system designed to unify customer lifecycle marketing and digital customer success.
The combined platform aims to consolidate functions that are typically fragmented across multiple tools, including onboarding, adoption, advocacy, community engagement, retention, and expansion. The strategic premise is that separating these motions weakens their cumulative impact on net revenue retention, particularly as enterprises seek to scale customer-led growth in an AI-driven market.
Base, founded by Gal Biran and Gal Briner, focuses on customer-led growth for customer marketing teams, helping companies generate revenue from existing customers through advocacy, referrals, community programs, and lifecycle engagement driven by real-time signals and sentiment. The company is headquartered in the United States, with R&D in Israel, and counts Wing Ventures, Vertex Ventures, and Fusion VC among its backers.
As part of the deal, all EverAfter employees will join Base, with several taking on senior leadership roles as the combined company integrates its products. Base and EverAfter’s customer base includes large B2B technology companies such as Adobe, Zendesk, Broadcom, Okta, and ZoomInfo.
